Shaykh Sayyid Hamdani

​Sayyid Mohammed Hamdani is the grandson of the classical Arabic grammarian and hadith master Shaykh Sayyid Ghulam Jilani Merthi.

He started his journey of seeking sacred knowledge at the hands of his father, Sayyid Shaykh Irfani Miyan Sahib Ashrafi.

Alongside his academic studies he pursued advanced Islamic studies locally. This passion grew and eventually he travelled to India to study a full time Islamic syllabus.

Upon his return to England at the age of 23, he continued his studies under Mufti Mohammad Aslam Bandyalvi Sahib and Mufti Mohammad Fazil Bandiyalvi in Bradford, UK.

Sayyid Hamdani is currently in Bradford as an Imam and teacher at Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust Masjid. He has delivered multiple courses on the basics of Islam as we as teaching the Dars-e-Nizami syllabus.
