Snowdon Lodge is large 17th century grade 2 listed Welsh stone house. Set in the picturesque village of Tremadog, the house is perfect for our spiritual retreat. The house is central heated and has a woodburner in the large lounge. There is free broadband WiFi throughout. The ten bedrooms are different sizes with a mix of twins, doubles and large rooms sleeping five or six people. There are wash basins in most rooms and plenty of hot showers and toilets. There is a very large private car park around the property ideal for our activities, barbecue meal and outdoor-dining.

Shaykh Waseem AhmedShaykh Waseem started his search for sacred knowledge studying Arabic in the UK for a more than two years before leaving for Damascus in Ramadan 1426 (Oct 2005) to further his Arabic language studies at the Abu Nur institute.
In 2007 Shaykh Waseem started studying privately under his teachers, Shaykh Ahmad Al-Khatib, a graduate of the Fath institute and faculty of Shari’ah and a Friday speaker in the mosques of Damascus as well as a teacher in various Islamic institutes, and Shaykh Anas Al-Sharfawi, a graduate of the Fath institute, a teacher, Friday speaker and a research scholar. He completed works in Aqidah (Doctrine), Fiqh (Jurisprudence) , Spirituality, Arabic Grammar and Rhetoric. In 2008 alongside his private studies he attended the accelerated programme at the Dawli Institute for Arabic and Islamic sciences in Damascus. He completed a traditional curriculum and graduated in the summer of 2012. He was blessed to meet and study with some of the great scholars of Damascus including, Shaykh Mazin Bakir, Shaykh Adnan Darwish and Shaykh Rashad Al-Shams. Some of the works he studied include the famous Hanafi work Al-Ikhtiyaar (fiqh) of Imam Abdullah Al-Mawsili in its entirety and most of Al-Ashbaah wa al-Nazha’ir (fiqh maxims) of ibn Nujaym, Mukhtasar Manar (fiqh principles) and Sullam Al-Munawraq (logic). Amongst the teachers he was fortunate to learn from was Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi. He studied many texts under him including; the Shama’il of Imam Al-Tirmidhi, the Principles of spirituality of Imam Ahmad Zarrooq, Adab Al-Suhbah of Imam Al-Sha’rani, The Sanusi Creed, parts of Al-Risalah Al-Qushayriyyah and the beginning of Iyha Uloom Al-Deen of Al-Ghazali. He also attended readings of some of the canonical hadith books (Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi) with the Shaykh. He also attended lessons with Shaykh Muhammad Jumu'a, the great Hanafi jurist of Damascus, studying under him several works on fiqh; parts of Al-Ikhtiyaar, the Hidaya, Maraqi Al-Falah and Bada'i Al-Sana'i. He returned to the UK in 2012 and has been delivering lectures and regular courses around the UK since. Shaykh Waseem is a co-founder of ISNAD Insitute, Sacred Vows Introduction Service as well as Guidance Hub. Over the last decade Shaykh Waseem has taught hundreds of students the Sacred Islamic Sciences and has helped many young Muslims to reconnect to their faith and inspired many to establish new initiatives to benefit their local communities.
