Course Synopsis
This introductory year of beginners Islamic studies covers the essentials every Muslim must learn. Subjects include: Aqeedah (Beliefs), Fiqh (Legal Rulings), and Spirituality.
We aim to equip students with the obligatory knowledge needed to practice their faith with confidence. Developing the student's belief, understanding of the legal rules of worship and improving their practice of spirituality. This is done through a modern approach using integrated modules and with the assistance of the latest technological aids to improve the delivery and facilitate successful learning.
Our aim is to facilitate the study of Sacred Knowledge in a traditional way, giving students the opportunity to benefit from the company and instruction of teachers with a chain of transmission linking back to our noble Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. All the texts taught on this course have been distilled from the most authentic classical Islamic sources, as well as authoritative contemporary research.
On successful completion of the course students will receive an accredited certificate.

Course Structure
There are two options available for Foundation Level 1 classes, these run on either Saturday mornings (10:00am - 12:00pm) OR Tuesday evenings (7:30pm - 9:30pm)

Our Master Muhammad ﷺ
This year we are also offering a brand new and unique course combining the Seerah (Prophetic biography) and Shama’il (description and characteristics of the Prophetﷺ).
Our Master Muhammad ﷺ
The first part of the course covers the formative years of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Mecca. Describing the key events in the Prophet’s early life, the early context and social dynamics in which Islam developed and understanding the perfection of Allah’s Prophet (peace be upon him), even before Islam.
In the second part, the course covers the later part of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) life, called the Medinan period. Which explores the development of the first Islamic government, and the decisive battles and expeditions during the Medinan period.
The third part of the Our Master Muhammad (peace be upon him) course, covers the characteristics, lifestyle and belongings of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Understanding his (peace be upon him) mannerism of talking, dressing, eating. His (peace be upon him) behaviour and mannerism of interacting and detailed description of his (peace be upon him) personal items such as clothes, swords, sandals and many other possessions.

Our Teachers
Our teachers are native English speakers born in the United Kingdom. They regularly travel across the country to convey traditional Islamic knowledge, which they have learnt from their teachers, who learnt from their teachers with an unbroken chain all the way back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
