Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi

Picture
Guidance Hub is honoured to announce our first annual Ramadan spiritual retreat with his eminence Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.

Shaykh Muhammad, a direct descendent of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is widely recognised as one of the most influential Muslim leaders in the world today; with his speeches, classes, and publications having impacted millions of people around the world.

A prolific writer and a poet, his most recent books - the ‘Shama’il of al-Habib al-Mustafa’ and ‘Introduction to Sahih al-Bukhari’ - are indispensable for every Muslim. He has penned 60 poems, of over 5000 lines, in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ - including the doubling (tashtir) of the famous Burdah and Hamziyya poems - which earned him the title of ‘the Busiri of this time’.

In recognition of his work for building peace and harmony, and better understanding between all religious groups, Shaykh Muhammad received the International Award of Ambassador of Liberty and Peace in 2016.

For several years running, the Royal Aal al-Bayt has included him as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world, with the 2022 edition placing him 37th.

His bestselling book, ‘Refuting ISIS’, has been published in 6 languages, including Arabic and English, and is widely heralded by critics. The book has played a significant role against Daesh and has been accredited with saving the lives of many youths, whilst helping non-Muslims Islam understand Islam’s position on this hot topic.

Shaykh Muhammad Yaseen

Born and raised in Birmingham, Shaykh Muhammad Yaseen developed an interest in acquiring the traditional Islamic Sciences from an early age. His enthusiasm led him to travel to the blessed lands of Sham (Syria), where he meet many great scholars and men of Allāh. He spent a year there studying Arabic at the University of Damascus as well as attending lessons of some of the great luminaries of our era in Damascus. Shaykh Yaseen was blessed to attend many gatherings and classes with His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi.

Upon his return to the UK, Shaykh Yaseen continued his studies with Shaykh Rasul Bakhsh Saeedi and Mufti Yar Muhammad. He studied a number of classical texts across a variety of disciplines including Hadith Studies, Quranic Exegesis, Arabic linguistics, Jurisprudence, Theology, Legal Theory, Logic, and Hadith Principles.

Alongside his theological studies, Shaykh Yaseen completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Science.

Since 2005, Shaykh Yaseen has taught across the UK and lectured on a variety of issues facing the muslim ummah.
