Welcome to the Gateway to Felicity Programme (Year 1) 

We are delighted to welcome you to the Gateway to Felicity Year 1 course. This email/page serves as your official introduction to this transformative two-year journey. We are honoured to support you as you move from a seeker of knowledge to a student of the traditional sciences.
Course Details:
  • Programme: Gateway to Felicity (2-Year Comprehensive Studies)
  • Starting: Saturday, 12th September, 2026
  • Class Schedule: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 01:30 PM
  • Location: Guidance Hub, 389 Waterloo Road, Manchester, M8 9AB



Course Overview:
The Gateway to Felicity is a structured, comprehensive roadmap designed to balance the Mind (Beliefs), Body (Actions), and Soul (Spirituality). Over the next two years, you will delve into foundational texts—from Kitab al-Aqayid to Imam al-Haddad’s Book of Assistance—providing you with a solid grounding in the essential sciences needed for a meaningful practice of Islam.

The first year curriculum roadmap

Year 1: Foundations
  • Hour 1: Islamic Creed (Kitab al-Aqayid), Seerah (Light of Sight) & Explanation of the 99 Names of Allah by Al-Sanusi
  • Hour 2: Fiqh: Qanun-i-Shari'at (Shamsudin Ahmad al-Hanafi)
  • Hour 3: Spirituality: Ghazali's 40 Principles of Religion

We have created a dedicated WhatsApp group for this programme. All students are required to join, as this will be our primary platform for important announcements, quick updates, and community discussion.

We will be utilizing Google Classroom to share course materials, and provide additional resources, and access the audio class recordings folder. You can join the Google Classroom using the link below, alternatively, you can join using the class code: scfqmtuo. Please ensure you have a Google account to participate effectively.

Course Merchandise

On the first day of the course, we have prepared a welcome pack for each student. The welcome pack includes course booklets, a pen, a notebook, a tote bag and a bookmark to support your learning journey. Please arrive at the centre 10 minutes early to collect your welcome pack and settle in before the class begins.
Direct Debit Payment Details:

Relevant only to students on the monthly payment option, will be setup at the beginning of September 2025: To make the payment process convenient for you, we have set up a direct debit system through Stripe. Your course fees will be automatically debited in 10 equal monthly payments.

Invoice and Bank Statement:
Each month, an invoice will be sent for the course fee as a reference, and it will be sent to the email address provided during registration. Please ensure to check your email regularly for invoice notifications.
On your bank statement, the transaction will appear as "Guidance Hub," indicating the payment for the Foundations of Islam course.
Cancellations & Refunds

If a student decides to withdraw from the course, then notification of this withdrawal must be received by the administration. Refund guidelines are outlined below:

Notice received at least 2 weeks before course starts - 95% Refund
Notice received within 2 weeks of course starting - 75% Refund
Notice received within 4 weeks of course starting - 50% refund
Notice received after 4 weeks of course starting - no refund available

We highly encourage you to familiarise yourself with these platforms as they will be integral to your engagement and success throughout the course.
