28 Week Islamic Education Programme taught by Sister Iffat Khan under the supervision of Shaykha Noshin Gul
Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim, male and female, as stated by the Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The aim of this course is for young females to learn their individual obligations and the basics of their religion in a relaxed, comfortable environment.
The Course is delivered over the academic year (3 terms) in 28 teaching weeks with holidays for half terms and end of term.We will focus on Fiqh and Aqidah in the first two terms, in order to build a solid foundation of the fundamentals. We will then move on to Spirituality, Adab and Biography of the Prophet (Seerah) in the last term.
Each week will be broken down into three sessions, with short breaks in between; two forty-minute sessions will be delivered on the core topics of study and the last session will be dedicated to an open discussion, reflection or activity. This will be an opportunity for students to connect with the religion on a deeper level, benefit from one another’s company and to help and empower one another. Topics such as hijab, women in society, relevance of education, and future goals will be discussed. On successful completion students will be awarded the 'Foundation of Faith' certificate authorised by ISNAD Institute.
