Following the classic curriculum of Ascent to Felicity: A Manual on Islamic Creed and Hanafi Jurisprudence by Abu'l-Ikhlas Hasan Ibn 'Ammar Al-Shurunbulali, this course provides a clear roadmap:
Term 1: Foundations of Purity & Islamic History
Dates: September 16 – December 2
Focus: Ascent to Felicity (Purification) & Histoy of 4 Calips, Omayyads to Ottomans.
Build a solid foundation in both practical worship and Islamic history.
Term 2: Deepening Your Prayer & Understanding the Quran
Dates: December 9 – March 31
Focus: Ascent to Felicity (Prayer & Fasting) & Tafseer of Surah al-Waqi’ah
Mastery of your daily prayers & making the most of your Ramadan
Dates: April 21 – June 20
Focus: Further Prayer, Zakat, & Imam al-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith

- Detailed Tahara: Practical rulings on Wudhu, Ghusl and matter related to purity.
- Spiritual Cleanliness: Understanding outer purity as a pathway to inner elevation.

Term 2: Deepening Your Prayer & Understanding the Quran
Dates: December 9 – March 31
Focus: Ascent to Felicity (Prayer & Fasting) & Tafseer of Surah al-Waqi’ah
Mastery of your daily prayers & making the most of your Ramadan
- Fiqh: Prayer (Salat) - a look at the basics & Rules of Fasting/Ramadan & Zakat al-Fitr
- Attaining Khushu’: Cultivating focus, presence, and stillness in prayer.
- Tafseer of Surah al-Waqi’ah: Verse-by-verse reflections on accountability, provision, and the Hereafter.
Dates: April 21 – June 20
Focus: Further Prayer, Zakat, & Imam al-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith
Complete your annual journey by learning how to purify your earnings and mirror the character of the Prophet ﷺ.
- Prayer Rulings: Travelling, illness and other factors that affect the Prayer
- Fiqh of Zakat: How to calculate and distribute Zakat correctly to purify your wealth.
- Prophetic Wisdom: Learning core principles of Islam via Al-Arba’een An-Nawawiyyah.
Balanced Learning & Structured Breaks - Learning shouldn't lead to burnout. Each term follows a 10-week learning cycle, followed by planned breaks to give you time to revise, reflect, and recharge.

Course Instructor
Our teachers are native English speakers born in the United Kingdom. They regularly travel across the country to convey traditional Islamic knowledge, which they have learnt from their teachers, who learnt from their teachers with an unbroken chain all the way back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
