"Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much."
Qur’an [33:21]

Course Outline

How well do we know our Prophet ﷺ the best of creation?

There was a person whose humility was like the Earth and whose generosity like the Sun. A man whose speech was gentler, subtler, and clearer, than the dew which adorns meadows in the early mornings of summer. Although he walked the Earth over a millennium ago, his personality, his message, and his very essence, continue to inspire and attract over 1 billion people today.
We all know we have to love him, follow him, and imitate him if we want to pursue happiness in this world and the next. Think about it: Is any of this possible if we do not know about him? Can love for the Prophet (peace be upon him) blossom in our hearts while we remain ignorant about him, his sacrifices and life?

Topics covered
  • The Prophet’s birth.
  • His infancy and childhood.
  • The first revelation and the beginnings of Islam.
  • Different miracles of the Prophet (peace be upon him) including his Night Journey (Mi’raj).
  • The first migration of the Muslims.
  • The Prophet’s migration to Medina.
  • Key agreements and treaties between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the people.
  • The nature of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a variety of roles, as father, spouse, leader, and Messenger.
  • Different miracles of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
  • Key events during the Medinan Period.

Learning outcomes

In 2007 Shaykh Waseem studied privately under teachers completing works in Aqidah (Doctrine), Fiqh, Spirituality, Arabic Grammar, Morphology, Rhetoric and other subjects. Al Huda Courses has been a priceless, humbling experience which made me realise how little i knew. You leave every class feeling uplifted and that little bit closer to Allāh and His Beloved (pbuh) - which is our ultimate aim in life. Level One Islamic Sciences is the ideal stepping stone onto further studies. It gives you the ability and confidence to take control of your life and make informed decisions.

This is an exceptional course. Information is given that is applicable to daily life and living and that can be used in everyday life. It enlightened me spiritually and drew me closer to my religion. Unfortunately, Islamic teachers can be often intimidating and unapproachable. This was not the case at Al Huda. Also certain aspects of Islam have become quite like a "cult", certain centres only accepting people who dress, walk, talk and behave according to the group. This is not the case at Al Huda. Its quite a progressive environment. As the Prophet stated we should unite the Ummah.
